It is not often I see anything negative about Cyndi so I thought Id post this. It is from Express Gay News. I really think that Dish should give her a break! Here is the quote:
“Also in attendance and dancing happily was gay icon CYNDI LAUPER. Although she bopped in the DJ booth, she wasn’t quite so nice when she was out in the crowd.
When Dish came by, bowing and scraping and expressing endless love, Lauper told us that she “didn’t want to be bothered.” Oh, excuse Dish. How ridiculous of us to expect that a gay icon attending a gay dance party might find herself the subject of some queer adoration.
We’ll remember that you don’t want to be bothered the next time we’re asked to shell out big bucks for one of your concert tours, Cyndi.”

I’m sorry those folks had a negative experience with Cyndi. I’ve heard of that before, she can get into a mood and not want to be bothered. It seems to develop from troubled times in her past. Usually it isn’t like that, and I hope everyone will give her another chance.

Okay, I love Cyndi, more than life, and I would walk through the hottest desert to see a show and shake her hand…. but this article bothers me cause it’s not the first time someone has made this kinda comment about Cyndi… wasn’t it a few years ago that Kelly Osbourne said Cyndi was kinda rude to her when they met, and Kelly is a big Cyndi fan too! I dunno it just makes me wonder about Cyndi, maybe she’s more of a all around DIVA then we thought!!
Love, Brittany

I met Cyndi 10 years ago at an out door rehearsal. I ran up to her and told her that I was a big fan and gave her a note. She had a cold and was very nice to me even though she was sick.
Everyone has a bad day so don’t let a few bad ones ruin it for her. She is human and can be having a lousy day so leave her alone.

I have admired Cyndi Lauper and her work since “Blue Angel”. I waited outside after her big concerts back in the 80’s to talk with her and get her autograph. I tell the truth when I say that every time I waited she always took the time to pose for pictures and gave autographs to all of us who waited for her, sometimes we waited for hours. She was always very nice. Last year my partner hired her and her band to perform at a private event in St. Louis. She was a very down to earth and gracious human being. She went above and beyond and put on a fabulous show. She was very easy to work with and an all around NICE person. Frank jerseycityfrank2004@yahoo.com
